gold lake...an awesome place to camp

well we went camping this last weekend and it wasn't nearly long enough. i love it up there. we got to camp at 5:30pm on thursday august 3rd and we couldn't find my sister anywhere, so we set up camp and figured we would find them the next day and we did LOL. this of course then involved me moving the camp myself to their campsite because my hubby had a bike ride already planned. that was fine because i am a get it done kinda girl LOL. i mean i could have waited till he got back and had his help but i really didn't see the point especially since i could just do it myself. my sister and mil watched the kids while i did this which made it much easier. the campsite they had was really cool because it was huge. the only bad thing was that their friend troy was with them and his dog wasn't nice to other dogs so my dogs pretty much had to stay leashed. they are really good camp dogs too so i was kinda bummed about that. plus he set up camp right there instead of outside a little so his dog would be further away. but ohh well LOL we made the best of it. so on friday sue and dad showed up and jason, dad, neils and troy all went for a bike ride and they had a lot of fun. heather, sue and i had a blast visiting and i got very dirty moving camp so i went and jumped in the lake with the kids. the water was cold but boy did it feel ohh so good LOL. when the guys got back we all chatted for a while and then dad and sue left. we roasted marshmellows, or i should say the kids roasted marshmellows, and sat around the campfire. i put the kids to bed about 9ish and then about 10:30 my mom and dad showed up, they weren't supposed to be there till saturday some time but i kept having a feeling that they were going to show up early. then i heard their diesel truck and saw their brand new fifth wheel, and i told jason "that is mom and dad" and then we talked ourselves out of it being them because we didn't think that mom would call in sick to work. well it kept eating at us that it was them and the truck hadn't left yet. they were looking for a spot and so we figured that it had to be them LOL. well i had to go to the bathroom anyways so i told jason that if it was them then they would see me and give me a hollar. well sure enough it was them. so that was really cool that they got there early. so they pulled in and parked the truck and trailor and then we sat around the campfire for a little while. at about 11ish we all went to bed (except for heather and neils because they were already in bed LOL) and boy did i sleep good. i love my air mattress LOL. it is sooo compfy. saturday was really nice. we woke up, had some coffee, i cooked my nummy camp breakfast which is fried potatoes, bacon, onion, and eggs all mixed together with some garlic salt, season all, and pepper, ohh and some cheese melted over the top. needless to say i was stuffed. mom, dad, heather, jason, neils, ashley, dyllan, ethan, kaiden, dogs, and i all went down to the lake and let the dogs play in the water. they had a lot of fun. heather and i took a lot of pics of course LOL. we all took naps that day too. ohh and it was mine and jason's anniversary that day. jason and i had to run down to bassets and get some beer and ice. so we snuck off while doing that and did a little neckin LOL. i love my man. he picked me some flowers too. he is so sweet. we all cooked a big huge feast for dinner that night. i cooked huge hamburgers, neils cooked nummy nummy squash, dad cooked chicken, mom cut up a nummy watermelon and troy cooked up some fish. WE ALL PIGGED OUT LOL. then we sat around the campfire for a little while and then heather, mom, dad and i wondered down to the lake to see if we could get any good pics of the stars in the lake, but the sky was to bright with the moon so we couldn't. but i did get a cute pic of mom and dad given each other a little kiss. it was so cute. when we made it back to camp, mom, dad, heather, neils and the kids all went to bed and jason, troy and i stayed up talkin until 2 in the morning. on sunday i cooked another breakfast and then we all kinda just lazed around until 11ish closer to 12ish and then packed up camp. we got outa there at 2ish and jason, kids and i got home about 4. i so didn't want to leave and was rather cranky packin up camp since i didn't want to go yet LOL. so there ya go, that was our camping trip. next year we are staying for a week and boy i cannot wait. anyway i will upload pics in a bit but not all cuz i took 176 photos LOL.
